The first step of the process was to create a wood frame to support the cladding. The concept was to contrast the lightness of the structure with the heavy metal exterior - the polar opposite of what you would assume architecture to be. The wood and metal elements also contrast in color and reflectivity.

 

All of these concepts play up the visual interest, was enhanced through recessing and projecting the pieces to create different shadows.
